About

I’m a 30 something runner, guitar player and entrepreneur. I ran competitively through high school (about 12 years ago now) and it was my entire life. Training twice a day and attending national cross country championships my first year as a senior.

That same winter I severely injured myself training for the indoor track season and even through I had a couple of attempts to get back at it I never did until this year (2010).

My wife bought me some winter running gear for Christmas as I had been talking about getting back into jogging again. Little did she knew she was about to spark an old obsession I had some 12 years before.

It’s been 8 months of up and down base training, recovery, shin splits, racing and a bit more. While I’m no where’s back to the speed or fitness I had as runner in high school and university I am finding that I’m getting into a groove and pending I stay healthy should be able to start getting some great times next season.

I created this blog to help me tracking my training, share my experiences and most of all keep me on track and accountable to something.
